Manufacturing Transformation in Progress – Hitachi Rail

Join your peers for a special plant visit to Hitachi Rail for an inside look at a major manufacturing transformation while it is still underway.

The Hitachi Rail team will share why the transformation was needed, how they approached it, what has been accomplished so far, lessons learned along the way, and where they are headed next.

The transformation reaches across the operation, including plant layout and material flow, supply chain and inventory, leadership systems, workforce development, safety, digitalization, and continuous improvement. The team has also placed significant emphasis on Power BI analytics, real-time location systems (RTLS), performance visualization, and modernizing how information is used to manage the operation.

During the plant tour, attendees will see selected areas and initiatives from the transformation journey, based on the progress of the operation at the time of our visit.
