Synchronized Seating Solutions at Isringhausen

Enrollment begins on February 13 by 8 AM

“Two Plants in One” describes Isringhausen USA. Established in Ladson to be adjacent to the Mercedes Benz Van assembly operation, the high-volume seat manufacturing operation is a model of synchronized production. Signals are received from the customer each time a van reaches the paint operation. The seats, specific to that vehicle, are then completely built and delivered when the van moves to the assembly operation.

On the other side of a shared purchased parts warehouse is the “other plant.”  A low-volume/high-mix portfolio of 500 vehicle seat SKUs is produced for customers including the U.S. Navy, heavy equipment producers, and others. Join this plant visit to see how Isringhausen utilizes a Quick Kaizen culture to continuously improve flexibility, customer responsiveness, quality and cost.
